Solo with orchestra
I think the compositions for solo instrument accompanied by the orchestra are one of the most popular aspects of classical music. Perhaps it is considered the most flashy and attractive to the public and performer, but not necessarily for the composer who must constantly mediate and integrate the “Solo” with the “All”. In my case the compositions that I wrote for this type of staff, that leaves room for a wide variety of combinations, are always born on commission, either for the instrument or solo instruments, that for the ensemble that accompanies them.
