Curriculum Vitae
I was born in Milan from a family of musicians.
I studied at the Conservatory "G. Verdi" of my city, graduating first in Violin, under the guidance of my father, the master Osvaldo Scilla; then in Traditional Composition, attending the classes of the Master Danilo Lorenzini and Mario Garuti, then I obtained a Master of first level in “Didactics of music, neuroscience and dyslexia”.
I started my music career as a violinist, debuting as a soloist and chamber musician in the most prestigious concert halls such as: Sala Verdi, Sala Puccini, Sala Barozzi, Sala Archinto, Sala delle Colonne e Centro Asteria of Milan, Teatro della Villa Reale of Monza, Tempio Malatestiano of Rimini, Villa Francesca of Stresa, Palazzo Albrizzi of Venezia, Villa Italia of Trieste, Auditorium Peri of Reggio Emilia and for Musical Associations such as: Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione “Concerti della Minerva”, Associazione Musicale Italiana, Japan Foundation, Associazione Mozart, Associazione Musicale Milanese, Associazione Amici del Museo Teatrale alla Scala, Associazione Dino Ciani, Deutsch-Italienische Kulturgesellschaft ecc.
I played as a soloist with “Orchestra di Stato Rumena”, “Orchestra Vivaldi” and “Camerata Pressenda“.
As a violinist my repertoire ranges from Baroque to Live Electronics, performing many world premieres by contemporary composers who sometimes dedicate me pieces.
As a violinist and composer I recorded for several television and radio stations such as: Canale 5, TMC, Rai Tre Regionale Lombardia, Rai Tre Regionale Lazio, Odeon Tv and Radio Popolare.
In this dual capacity I recorded CDs for: Casa Discografica “Villa Nostradamus” and Edizioni Musicali “Santabarbara”.
If my violin-playing career has begun at a year and a half, as you can see from the photos, my compositional career, that has not aroused the same photographic interest, has begun shortly after, at about six years with a "Pavana" for violin and piano.
As a composer my creativity ranges from chamber music to symphony orchestra, including multimedia musical fairy tales and sacred and secular vocal compositions. I like to research and capture the purity of the timbres, the beauty and fluidity of the sounds of the instruments for which I write and this leads me to create organic sometimes unusual but which I consider stimulating if not appealing.
Some of my compositions are published by Rugginenti editori and Editrice Musicale Santabarbara. I was interviewed by the online radio “AllegroAndante” that broadcasted some of my compositions and are mentioned, as a composer and performer, in the book, wanted by Fondazione Atkins Chiti, “Le lombarde in musica” Colombo Editore of Rome.
