The multimedia fairy tales
I love the magic that the simple phrase "once upon a time" can create, as if it were a sort of portal of time able to lead in pleasant and distant places, yet so close. Fantastic and enchanted places where everything can happen, where space and time do not submit to the laws of our world, where a moment can be infinite and the infinite last a single moment. In this enchanted world, that often my fantasy loves to recall, Multimedia fairy tales come to life. In reality, they are born with a precise didactic purpose, linked to the "Scilla Method", where the ensemble music, built on the skills actually reached by the students, becomes a source of stimulus and study. The multimedia fairy tale is the propaedeutic and satisfying version of the traditional essay, in which each is a pupil and teacher of the other in creating the magic of listening. The text, of my invention, is supported by a multimedia video, also of my creation. Everything creates the setting in which the various instrumental groups give life to the characters and the situations. Musical interventions are then composed according to the criteria of "Scilla Method" to allow all performers, inexperienced or veterans, dyslexic or problem-free readers, young or old, to contribute, a way fulfilling, to the realization of this small "magic".
The texts of fairy tales are of very varied inspiration as well as the music that composes the sound dialogue:
- "Viol e il mago Liut" for reciting voice and string orchestra. It tells the story of an unfortunate little elf who, having lost his voice because of the Queen of Darkness, addresses the most powerful magician to help him find his singing. But Liut will give the elf something very different....is part of this fairy tale "La marcia degli elfi" , a short piece for strings pizzicato.
- "Jasmine e la goccia di luna" for reciting voice, soli, white voices choir, piano and orchestra. Fairy tale inspired by the atmosphere of "One Thousand and One Nights", where the beautiful and fearless Jasmine, save his kingdom from the desolation of evil, caused by "Ramanaq", the black moon, bringing home the moon drop that "Iqamar, la luna d'argento", long before she had given to the father of our heroine
- "I cinque palazzi celesti" for reciting voice, piano and orchestra. Fairy tale inspired by Chinese pretaoisti myths about the creation of the world, where, from the clash of the five Lords who inhabit the heavenly palaces, will be born music.
