Chamber music
I deeply love chamber music, its intimate dimension where the purity of the timbre and the fluidity of the line are the great protagonists. For a composer and performer, is definitely one of the most difficult areas in which to measure themselves, but it is also one of the most interesting and exciting.
Nothing can be left to chance, unloved, or neglected, everything must be understood, cared for and pampered if you want the result to unravel with fluidity and lightness.
The ensemble that the instrumental palette provides are unlimited, infinite are the timbral possibilities that can be created, from traditional to the most innovative or unusual.
From these ideas come my compositions for different types of organic and chamber orchestra .
- "Le fate Danzanti" for flaute, 1 panpipes, english horn, 2 horns in F, 2 harps, cello and double bass
- “Le Soglie del Cielo” for flute, panpipes, oboe, bassoon, 2 harps, string orchestra.
- “La Voce del Tempo” for flute, 2 panpipes, bassoon, 2 harps and string orchestra.
- “L' Essenza del Vento” for flute, panpipes, 2 harps and celesta.
- “La Signora del Tempo” for flute, panpipes, english horn, bassoon, 2 harps, cello, double bass.
- "L' Essenza del Tempo" for 2 flutes, bassoon, 2 horns and 2 harps.
- "L' Essenza del Cuore" for Flute, English Horn, 2 Harps, Celesta, Soprano, Violin, Viola and Cello.
- "L' Essenza della Pace" for Flute, English Horn, 2 Harps, Celesta, Soprano, Violin, Viola and Cello.
- "L' Essenza della Luce" per flauto, corno inglese, 2 arpe, celesta, soprano, violino, viola e violoncello.
- "Il virus e la fenice della vita" for soprano, violin, cello and 2 harps.
- "Allegro da Concerto" for string orchestra
- "Le leggende del cuore". They are a portal that leads from reality to the deepest dimensions of being through a fantastic journey. They are the description of a real "object" told in four different and simultaneous dimensions: the legend (time), the word (feeling), the image (space) and the sound (emotion). They are scores that are born on a poetic text that smells of legend and vibrates with sounds and colors. They are part of this collection: "La Ninfa e il Tritone" for flute, oboe d’amore, cello and 2 harps, free narration of the myth of Scilla; "Le scogliere, di Moher, il Marinaio e la Sirena" for flute, cello and harp, where the unconditional love of a mermaid and towards a mermaid does not lead to death but to eternity; and "La Signora di Avalon" for flute, English horn and 2 harps, score inspired by the legends of the Breton Cycle.
- "Lo scrigno dei venti". A collection of pieces for different organic inspired by the Latin personification of the winds. Belonging to it "Skyron" for piano solo, composition dedicated to the wind of the central Mediterranean that marks the transition from autumn to winter. Strong and impetuous, Skyron is a storm wind that brings good weather and that by his strength he was also called "Master of the winds" from which it derives his current name of Maestrale.
- "Passione andalusa" a composition for piano 4 hands inspired by some of the most famous Spanish dances. Traditional Spanish music has always had a special fascination for me, a kind of call to which sometimes I love to abandon myself.
- "La suite fantastica" trio for Clarinet in B flat, violin and piano. A suite of dances like the II movement "Pavana" and III "La danza della luna"
- "Japan Fantasy" trio for violin, flute and piano, inspired by the Japanese world. Rugginenti Editore.
- "Fantasia per tre strumenti, Zephiro Raposody" trio for violin, flute and piano. Edizioni Santabarbara, CD "Villa Nostradamus". Violinist Simona Scilla, flautista Anna Armenante, pianist Rita Loffredo.
- "A wonderful day" aphorism for reciting voice and string orchestra. Brief ironic composition on the vicissitudes that happen on a day of ordinary madness.
- "Aritmia" for pan flute, oboe d’amore, English horn, percussion, violin and cello. Inspired by my mother’s irregular heartbeat, which often rears up, gallop, stops, limps and then resumes its rhythm, moodier than a horse and as wild as the wind.
- "I sogni, gli elfi e le fate" for string quintet.
- "Aquarius" for string quartet
- "Eptacordo" for string quartet
- "Aforisma di un cigno e di un pinguino" for voice reciting, bassoon, violin and piano
- "Pavana sul nome di Dante" for violin and harpsichord. Composed for the event "Dante il poeta errante" in collaboration with: Centro Dantesco di Ravenna, Università degli studi di Pavia, Eures - European Employment Service, Erasmus. A composition inspired by the Middle Ages that, as can be deduced, is a period that has a remarkable charm in my creative imagination.
